Follow your dreams

Hi Friends

I hope your week is off to a good start.  I pray for all those impacted by the tornados in the Missouri and Minnesota. So tragic.  I pray for the families who lost loved ones and those who have to clean up. There sure have been some rough storms this spring.

Onto a lighter topic, I thought I’d share a card today. It’s one I made during the Lawn Fawn release last week but didn’t use.

I used the Lawn Fawn Cruising through Life stamp set. I did some masking to add depth to the flowers and the pinwheel, colored with some Copics and tied some twine around it. I also used my Corner rounder on the bottom two corners. This card really came together quickly despite masking and coloring

Thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed day

Lawn Fawn Cruising…

Hi Friends

Thanks for dropping in again today. We are previewing another fabulous set from Lawn Fawn today. It’s called “Cruising through Life.”  It’s another great set with super fun images.

Here’s what I came up with:

cruising

I decided to feature the cute pinwheels from the set.  I made another thank you card which I need.  I wanted something bright, cheery and springy. This patterned paper by Jillibean Soup (Half Pound Blossoms) I thought achieved the look I was going for.

I colored the images with Copics, and the flowers are Prima and Recollections.

Lawn Fawn Bon Voyage

Hi Friends!

So what are you thinking of the Lawn Fawn previews so far? The sets are just so awesome. You will absolutely love them. I’d have trouble deciding and would have to buy them all.

Today, we’re previewing a cute little set, called “Bon Voyage.”  Here’s what I came up with:

How cute are the clouds and that plane?  I am going to be using those clouds over and over. Seriously.

I paired the set with Harold’s ABCs to make  custom sentiment. I am in need of some thank you cards, so I wanted to make a dent in those.

Be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog if you haven’t already. They are going crazy with giveaways this week, so you’ll want to get your name in for a chance to win!

Also, remember there’s a new Lawnscaping challenge up featuring polka dots with a great prize to the winner… a $25 to Mold Muse and a guest designer spot!

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and blessings

Lawn Fawn Preview

Hi Again Friends,

I know I’ve been away, and now, two posts so close together.

Lawn Fawn is having 9 new sets release on the 19th, and we’re highlighting 3 of them this week.  There are some AWESOME and I do mean, AWESOME stamps that will be released. You are going to love them.

Today’s set is called “Admit One,” and it is so adorable. My card features the uber cute ferris wheel along with the tickets and sentiments that fit in them.

I paired the stamps with the fun Imaginisce paper (Animal Crackers) that features fair/circus images.  I colored the ferris wheel with Copics.

Be sure to go to the Lawn Fawn blog to see the other designers’ work and to get the details on your chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by (again today)! Hugs and blessings

Lawnscaping Challenge #10

May-Challenge-bNumber-10-400px

Hi Friends,

It’s time for another Lawnscaping Challenge to kick off. This one is all about polka dots.  SO many options with this challenge.

We have a super fabulous sponsor this time, Mold Muse.  Mold Muse has an Etsy store that sells molds to make your own embellishments, earrings, etc.!  I’ve purchased from the store before, the product is amazing, and the service is wonderful.

  MoldMuseSponsor

Our winner will receive $25 certificate to Mold Muse, and a Guest Designer spot on the Lawnscaping blog. FUN!

Here’s my take on the challenge.

I used Bazzill Basics pre-embossed cardstock as my base, the patterned paper is from My Mind’s Eye, and I used two molds (the cupcake and the bow). The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn’s Sophie’s Sentiments. I made this card for my friend’s daughter’s birthday. (You may remember her from these birthday invites I made awhile back…).

Sorry my blog has been quiet lately. I had surgery (nothing major) on the 5th, and have just taken some time to heal.  I’m starting to get back into the craft room and trying to get the mojo flowing, but it’s taking awhile. If I am out of the craft room for any length of time, it takes awhile to get the creative juices flowing again.

Oh, and Lawn Fawn release week starts today too, so be sure to check and see some previews.

Another take on Tiff's sketch TG017

Hi Friends,

So today, I’m going to share another card I made for Tiff’s sketch challenge from last week. (I know I’m late, but I wanted to share it anyway).

Here is her sketch (again this was last week’s, she has another fabulous one for this week).

And here’s my take on the sketch:

I used some new Verve stamps. I saw those blooms and leaves and had to have it. Verve also has nice bible verse stamps that I love! (The stamps I used are: Proverbs 16:9, and Bloom and Grow).

I also used some fabulous e2DAILY Wild Flower fabric tape that I got while hubby and I were on our get away.

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs and blessings.

Lawnscaping Challenge

May-Challenge-bNumber-9-400px

Hi Friends,

We’re kicking off another fun Lawnscaping challenge today.  This challenge is to create a party themed project.  Let your creative juices flow on this one. There are tons of possibilities.  SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Simon Says Stamp is our fabulous sponsor this time. So the winner will get a $25 gift certificate to the online store.

  BadgesSimonSaysPrize

I went with a card that could really be used for any sort of party.  I will have it on hand when I need it which will likely be soon because there are several birthdays of friends and family in the not so distant future.

Here’s what I came up with

DSC_0259

I used Lawn Fawn’s Bannerific and Sophie’s Sentiments on this one.  (Have I mentioned before that I just love paper-piecing, and there are so many fun Lawn Fawn stamps to paper piece). I paired them with some fun Basic Grey Paper, some twine, gems and light distressing, and boom a celebration card.

Speaking of Lawn Fawn, they are donating 20% of their profits this week (May 1 to May 7)to the Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for all the details. It’s a fabulous cause, and what better excuse to get some Lawn Fawn fun!  (You know you need some new Lawn Fawn stamps, so this is the perfect justification to purchase them).

Shoowee, this has been a long post. Thanks for sticking with me. Can’t wait to see what you do with the challenge.

Hugs and blessings
