Happy Birthday Laurel

Hi Friends

Today is a special day here at the blog.  My sweet friend, Laurel is having a birthday today.  Some of us decided to get together and have a virtual party for her.  Not the same as being there, but still fun to have a party thrown for you in cyberspace, I hope:)

Here's what I have made for Laurel, in honor of her birthday:

I know it must be a bit of a surprise that it's not solely Lawn Fawn stamps being used. Since Laurel is such an Apple fan, I had to include the iPhone (or iPad, depending on your perspective) on the card which is from Paper Smooches. I did use the new Lawn Fawn sets (A Birdie Told Me, and Happy Everything).

Now, there is quite a list of people participating in this virtual party, I've included a list of blogs to check out. Here are the girls who have projects to share for her birthday:

Cristina Nunez
Christiana Reuling
Melissa Shea
Karin Akesdotter
Karen Baker
Chari Moss
Chrissie Tobas
Deasy Widjaja
Joe Shien Shien
Jenn Shurkus
Tamara Laan
Lalo Ik
Yenni Natalia
Stephanie Klauck
Erica Messervy
Annette Allen

(Please accept my apologies if the links are wrong, it's way past my bed time and my eyes are losing their ability to focus).

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and be sure to go wish the birthday girl a great day.

Lawn Fawn “So Thankful”

Hi there
Happy Wednesday.  The Lawn Fawn Inspiration week continues today with a cute little mini set called, “So Thankful.”  This set is so super cute and versatile.  I love the pumpkins and is just perfect for fall.
Here is what I came up with:

As you can see, it’s a simple card, but I got to do a lot of coloring and cutting which I love.  I threw in some Lawn Trimmings for the final touch.
Be sure to visit the Lawn Fawn blog if you haven’t already to see the rest of the design team’s projects and for your chance to win some great prizes.
Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Interlocking Back Drops

Hi Friends
I did it again and didn’t set up my blog post to go live.  Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team are sharing projects that use the new background set, Interlocking backdrops.  It’s a great and versatile background set. Here’s what I came up with:

I just thought the hexagons went so well with the bee from Gnome Sweet Gnome.  I colored with my Copics and added some sparkle with Stickles. I also used some Lawn Trimmings.
Thanks for stopping by, be sure to head over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see what the rest of the design team created.  Of course, Lawn Fawn has multiple ways to win some goodies too!

Lawn Fawn "Fa La La"

Hello Friends
Happy Monday (Bleh-right?!)  Hopefully, Lawn Fawn Inspiration week will help us all get our weeks started off well.
Today, the design team was to feature projects using the new Lawn Fawn Paper "Fa La La". It comes in 12X12 and 6X6.  There are also all sorts of stickers to embellish.  The colors are fun. If you haven't gotten some already, I think you're going to love it.

Now, sit down, I actually made a scrapbook page.  I've wanted to do more scrapbooking, so I'm making the effort.  I started with my beloved Bella, so that helped make it fun and cute!  (If nothing else, she's adorable!)

Isn't Bella so dang cute in her Christmas dress?  Okay, so she hates to wear clothes, but she toughed it out for Christmas.  Usually, I don't make her wear clothes unless we are walking when it's cold, then she has to wear a sweater, she has short hair after all.  Anyway, onto the project, you can see I used a lot of the 12X12 paper and stickers, and there is the Lawn Trimmings Peppermint Cord again.

I have a lot to learn about scrapbooking, but it is fun.  I really enjoyed looking through photos and putting the page together.

And just for kicks, here is a card I made using some of the Fa La La paper with Sweet Christmas stamp set.  It is so versatile, I just love it. (I have a thing for patterned paper, and I am so happy Lawn Fawn has taken the plunge into coming out with it. I love it!)

If you haven't already, be sure to go to the Lawn Fawn Blog to see the design team projects, and for your chance to win some prizes.

Lawn Fawn Sweet Christmas

Hi Friends
I hope you’ve enjoyed a fabulous weekend. My post is going up way late due to my poor planning and being a bit spacey.
Lawn Fawn is featuring an inspiration this week and today’s feature is “Sweet Christmas”.  Here is the project I made:

I had so much fun making this card.  I think it turned out so fun and whimsical.  I also added in some of the newest Lawn Trimmings “Peppermint Cord”.  It’s so great, and I love the cords come on spools.
Now be sure to head over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see the design team projects and sign up for a chance to win.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for another project.
Thanks for stopping in friends.

Lawnscaping Challenge

418559_4331789181765_760155436_n

Hi Friends,

It’s time to start a new Lawnscaping challenge today.  This one is to include text on your project.  Easy peasy right?!  Most of the design team had text as a focus of our project.

The sponsor of our challenge is Lawn Fawn!

LawnFawn_blinkie

So here’s what I came up with for my project:

LStexty

I used the Lawn Fawn “thank you” stamps that come when ordering from the Lawn Fawn web site, and some of the new Lawn Fawn paper from Dewey Decimal. (I love these colors!)

Thanks for stopping by, can’t wait to see what you create!

Lawn Fawn projects with Love My Tapes

Hi Friends,

I hope your week starts well. I have to say that today is a picture perfect day in Indianapolis, it’s quite difficult to stay focused working.

Today, I thought I would share three cards I made using some Washi tape from Love my Tapes.  I’ve only begun to play with it, so I’m still exploring how to use it. I’ve seen so many creative projects with it that I am looking forward to trying out other projects with it.

I paired it up with some Lawn Fawn stamps in the projects below:DSC_0009

I am amazed at how much comes on a roll, it’s so economical to use.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed week

More OWH Cards

Hi Friends,

I hope you are having a good week!  I love these short weeks although I have trouble keeping the days straight in my mind:)

I thought I'd post some more cards that I made for Operation Write Home.  These are designed for kids, and I think the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After is the perfect set for making cards for kids.  So the three cards I'm sharing today use that set.

I hope you join in and make some cards for Operation Write Home.   What better cause that to send cards to the soldiers for them to be able to send something home to their kids.

Hugs and blessings!

Operation Write Home

Hi Friends,

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for Operation Write Home .  Lawn Fawn is partnering up with them to generate cards suitable for children. Apparently, there is a shortage of cards for the servicemen to send home to their children, so this is a very worthy cause.

Lawn Fawn stamps are so suitable for children's cards.  It was a joy to be able to participate in this card drive.  Here's what I came up with:

They had a sketch for the challenge, so I used that for the basis of the card. Here is the sketch:

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more information about the card drive and to see some other creations using Lawn Fawn stamps!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day

Hi Friends

It’s time for another Lawnscaping challenge, sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

SimonSaysStamp_160x240

The winner will receive a $25 shopping in their online store.

For this challenge, Vera created a great sketch to be used.  Here’s my take on the sketch

I used Lawn Fawn sets Flutterby and Many Thanks.  I got this cool burlap/ribbon from my favorite Local Scrapbook/papercrafting store Papertrix (in Nashville, Indiana).  I just had to use it.

Can’t wait to see what you create with this great sketch. Be sure to head over to the Lawnscaping blog to see the design team’s fabulous projects!
