Wow, can you believe that this is the end of 2009? Where did the time go? The year just flew by. And speaking of time flying, we're about to enter the next decade of the 2000's. I remember the 1999 New Year's eve like it was yesterday.
I know everyone will be making resolutions, and I am no exception. But I also think that it's a good time to count our blessings. I am so grateful for how the Lord has blessed me. And I want my blogging friends (that's you) to know that I count you amongst my blessings. Thanks for visiting my blog, taking time to comment, and for your friendship. I treasure the people I've met through this blog, and I look forward to forging more friendships and deepening those existing friendships into 2010.
So, for today's card, I truly don't remember if I've shared it or not. I do not think I have, but if it's a repeat, please accept my apologies. I hope you like it!
Have a safe and blessed New Year's Eve. I'll catch ya next year!
Love,
Nette
These are so adorable. I may have to venture back to Archiver's to invest in some more. They will make such adorable packages. This one is made for a specific friend who loves sparkle and pink. There's a lot of glitter on the strip in the tin. It was really hard to photograph... but I hope you like it nonetheless.
I used glitter, stickles, and even the button had glitter in it!!! Yay for sparkly!

and here's a view of the family cards.
I really think that our family is going to enjoy these. I'm probably going to have to come up with some more accessorizing to go along with them:) And I will still have to cook!

I made the flower by cutting multiple circles of tp in varying sizes and scraping the edges (distressing if you will) in Raspberry fizz ink and after doing the layers, I gathered the middle and tied them in the back to get the ruffly look.
Have a great night friends
This has to be short. I've got another post coming. Gotta post my entry for the Raspberry Suite challenge

I wanted to say congrats to the first Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge winner,
I played with my Copics again to color in the flower, and then I stitched the ribbon by hand using some DMC floss after tacking down the ribbon down in an accordian fold using some red line tape.
I used a thank you note from a magazine that I subscribe to, taped in onto some SU! Kraft cardstock (with a scalloped pumpkin pie border behind it), tied some ribbon, added some foofala buttons with twining, corner rounded the corners and done.
You might recognize the colors from Dawn's most recent color challenge. However, I failed to post it in time. However, the card was still useful as I needed a card for a bridal shower (that I hadn't made a card for), so this is what I used. She's having fall warm colors, so I thought this was close enough.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day friends. For those of you who signed up to swap, I'll send out some deets tomorrow:) I cannot wait.
Thanks for stopping by! Many blessings to you all!

I did some paper piecing which I haven't done in ages, but it seemed to lend itself well to this stamped image.

Let me tell you that I STRUGGLED with this challenge. First, I hadn't stamped in awhile and mojo was missing as stated above :) Then I found that I do not own Green Galore. In the end, i went with Certainly Celery which is close. I absolutely love Soft Suede (another of the new SU! In Colors).
In the end, I am pleased with how it turned out. In fact, I have a confession to make, you are probably going to be seeing much more of the leaves and the flowers in my upcoming posts. I'm on a kick right now. So you are forewarned ;)
