You've Got Mail

Hi Friends
It’s another Lawn Fawn preview day here at the blog. Today we’re featuring a fun new stamp set called, “You’ve Got Mail”. (Loved that movie, so cute!) This is such a fun set that is great for card making and scrapbooking. Here’s what I came up with:

You can see I paired it with Fly Free. I just thought it would be cute to have a bird bringing in the letter to mail. Of course, I had to use some of the fun new Lawn Fawn Paper, the Bright Side.

Make sure you sign up for your chance to win some fabulous prizes over at the Lawn Fawn Blog. They are so generous in their giveaways, so good luck!

Lawn Fawn Bright Side

Hi Friends,

Today, Lawn Fawn is sharing more ideas with their fabulous new paper line.  This paper is just so perfect for spring and summer.  I cannot believe March begins this week, so spring will be here before you know it!

I made a couple of cards where I let the paper do all the work…

So I used the same paper and sentiment, but just different lay-outs.  That bright and fun flower paper is so adorable that I wanted a lot of space to show it off.

Be sure to sign up at the Lawn Fawn blog for a chance at some fabulous prizes that are being given away this week.

Thanks for stopping in today

Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdrop

Hi Friends,

The Lawn Fawn fun continues today with the newest set of background stamps, called Chevron Backdrops.  This set features 3 chevron patterns from which you can create all sorts of fun patterns, backgrounds, you name it.

For my project, I went with a simple design and decided to make a set of birthday cards.

I may give these to a friend as a gift set.  Or I may use them for some upcoming birthdays.

Lawn Fawn

Hi Friends

I’m so excited to be able to share some projects featuring the new Lawn Fawn paper.  This will be available for purchase beginning March 1st.

For my projects, I wanted the paper to take center stage, so here’s what I came up with:

Lawnscaping Distress Challenge

distress (1)

Hi Friends

It’s time for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge, and this one is to bring out those Distress Inks we all love. Create any project featuring distressing and enter into our challenge.  This challenge is featured by Lawn Fawn.  The winner will get to pick out their stamp set of choice! With all the new stuff coming out on March 1st, this is a great time to play.

Here’s what I came up with for the challenge…

I wanted to do something a little different, so I used distress inks to create the polka dots. I punched out circle of varying sizes and then used the negative piece to overlay on my card panel and distress inside the circle. It’s a simple design but took me awhile to complete because I kept smudging due to having inky fingers.

Hope you play along! I’m off to San Antonio for a work trip, and then I will be home for 3 weeks before I have to travel again! Yippeee! I hope to get caught up on reading blogs and crafting!

I’m headed off to Toledo on business… yeah, nothing says Happy Valentine’s day like a trip to Toledo without my sweetie. (He was so thoughtful and sent me some goodies from Edible Arrangements yesterday, YUM!)

Down on the farm

Hi Friends

I hope you’re having a great week.  I know things have been quiet here at the blog. I’m in the midst of a busy time.  Unfortunately, the blog has been neglected.

I thought I’d share a card that I made using Lawn Fawn’s Critters on the Farm

Just love these chickies. I plan on using them for Easter cards along with the bunny from either Critters in the Burbs or My Silly Valentine.

I’m hoping to dedicate some time in the craft room this weekend.

Lawnscaping Challenge #27

inspiration

Hi Friends

It’s time for a new Lawnscaping challenge, sponsored by the awesome online store Simon Says Stamp.

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 shopping card for Simon Says Stamp. They carry loads of great products, including, Lawn Fawn!

The challenge is to use the photo above as your inspiration for your project (which can be a card, scrapbook layout, altered project, you name it).

Here’s what I came up with.

I used Lawn Fawn’s Teeny Tiny Backdrops and My Silly Valentine. This card was super quick to make, so it could be easily mass produced for kids’ cards, etc.

Be sure to head to the Lawnscaping blog and check out the details on the challenge and the design team’s projects.
